German Conference on Pattern Recognition DAGM-GCPR 2020 in Tübingen (Event)
The 42nd German Conference on Pattern Recognition (DAGM-GCPR 2020), the 25th International Symposium on Vision, Modeling and Visualization (VMV 2020) and the 10th Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine (VCBM 2020) will for the first time be co-located in Tübingen this year!
Welcome to the 42nd German Conference on Pattern Recognition (DAGM-GCPR 2020), the 25th International Symposium on Vision, Modeling and Visualization (VMV 2020) and the 10th Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine (VCBM 2020) which for the first time will be co-located in Tübingen this year!
DAGM-GCPR is the annual symposium of the German Association for Pattern Recognition (DAGM). It follows the long tradition of the DAGM conference series, which has been renamed to DAGM-GCPR in 2013 to reflect its increasing internationalization. The conference addresses recent advances in theory, methodology, and applications of pattern recognition, machine learning, and computer vision. The GCPR proceedings will be published in a volume of the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and the best papers from the conference will be invited to a special issue of the International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV).
VMV is the annual symposium of the Computer Graphics Special Interest Group of the German Informatics Society (Jahrestagung des Fachbereichs grafische Datenverarbeitung der Gesellschaft für Informatik [GI e.V.]). It is a unique event that brings together scientists and people interested in the interdisciplinary fields of computer graphics, computer vision, visualization, and visual analytics, with special emphasis on the link between the disciplines. It offers researchers the opportunity to discuss a wide range of different topics within an open, international and interdisciplinary ambience.
VCBM addresses the state of the art in visual computing research with a strong focus on applications in biology and medicine. It provides an interdisciplinary forum for experts (researchers and practitioners) from visualization, visual analytics, computer graphics, image processing, computer vision, human computer interfaces as well as experts from biology and medicine, jointly working on next generation visual computing solutions for medicine, healthcare and the biotechnology sector.
All three conferences are jointly organized by the University of Tübingen. They will take place in parallel from September 28 to October 1st, 2020. On the first day, there will be a special event with invited talks by leading computer vision scientists in the field, followed by the joint reception.
